Stuck in traffic
Going home. Photo from Joy.
Back and forth, now and then.
It was a stressful getaway.
Bad deals, traffic, rainy departure and power outage.
I am lucky to have friends who know exactly how to calm me down.
South China Sea breeze, free beers and free videoke.
How else can we complain?
I wanted to cancel it but for some unexplained force, we arrived at the last resort.
Salvatierra Resort in Salvacion Agdangan, Quezon may not have
the best beach, but the owner is so nice and very accommodating.
30 pesos for overnight entrance fee and 1000 for the nipa hut with bed,
ventilation and small veranda. They let us use
their gas range and cooked everything we can for just 50 pesos.
their gas range and cooked everything we can for just 50 pesos.
I heard they even lend tents for free.
Every single person we had to deal with in Agdangan were really sweet.
None of them ripped us off even we scream "tourists."
Two years ago, I had a privilege of staying in Agdangan
for a week to participate in a project and
it was an amazing and humbling week.
I am confident to say that people of Agdangan is part of the reason
that I keep on coming back there.
It gives me a bit of hope for humanity.
