5 (GOOD) Reasons Why I Can't Be Vegetarian

I like vegetarians. I will forever salute their lifestyle and their discipline.
As many of us know, it is not an easy thing to do.
Not in this country, it's not.
I love vegetarian meals that are cleverly done and I love cooking them as well.
But I have tried and failed. I guess I'm going to hell.
Beside the fact that I hate labels that will box me and my options away, I just find it difficult.
Like shadowboxing and simultaneously aiming to kill the girl who is flirting with your boyfriend.
I just can't. With good reasons, I gotta say.

#5 - Chicken Joy
Growing up with zero fast food around, this constantly reminds me
of what I can't have when I was a kid.

#4 - Bacon Cheeseburger
Anyone who is close to me knows that I'm a burger junkie.
But it had me at that bacon on top. Yum.

#3 - Crispy Pata
If there's a vegetarian version of this that is impeccably similar to its original taste,
I might have to consider giving up meat.

#2 - Tulingan (Mackarel Tuna)
"It's so malansaaaaa..." As what some bourgeoisie wannabes might say.
Whenever there's a leftover paksiw, I fry it and it's perfect with garlic rice and fresh tomatoes!
The ultimate sabotage to my diet.

#1 - Daing na Baliwis
I have no idea what others call it, but from where I live, we call it baliwis.
Dried baliwis is heaven on earth whenever there's garlic rice and tomato salad on the side.
Don't forget that garlic vinegar for dip and hot coffee!
YUM!

(I don't own these photos except for #1)
